Presentation: Wireless Sensor Networks: Technology Beyond Auto-ID

SAP and BP together prepared a presentation called "Wireless Sensor Networks: Technology Beyond Auto-ID" describing the basic concepts behind the CoBIs idea, the project goals and the CoBIs application scenarios. We were able to gain so much interest from Intel Research that they agreed to join the presentation and cover the hardware part. Thus, a strong presentation with major industrial players describing a complete sensor network universe from the chip via the software infrastructure to its application in the Oil&Gas industry was given at the following events:

  • Infotag SAP RFID und SAP Event Management, Kronberg, Germany: Stephan Haller, SAP Research: Die Realisierung des "Internets der Dinge", June 30 2005
  • Intel Developer Forum Fall 2004, San Francisco, USA: one of the world's premier technical conferences. This talk was given by Dr. Hans Mulder, Associate Director, Intel Research; Ken Douglas, Director Sensory Networks, BP; Dr. Uwe Kubach, Director SAP RG Dresden, SAP Research.
  • SAP TechEd 2004, Munich, Germany: SAP's major developer conference where customers, consultants, partners, and employees meet to learn about new SAP technologies. This talk was given by Mike Haley, Director CTO, BP and Dr. Joachim Schaper, Vice President Americas, SAP Research.
